Program Overview

The Esthetician Program at Top Secret Beauty Spa Academy is meticulously designed to meet and exceed the standards set by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation of Barbers and Cosmetologists. This comprehensive curriculum covers both theoretical knowledge and practical lab activities essential to the salon business and retail sales focused on esthetics.

Admission Requirements

  • Basic Skills Classes: As stated, prospective students must complete basic skills courses based on their scores from our intuition entrance exam. This ensures that all students have the foundational knowledge necessary to thrive in the program.

  • Selective Admission: Our program admits new students throughout the semesters, allowing for flexibility and accessibility. However, due to high demand and limited class sizes, admission is competitive, and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance.

  • High School Diploma or GED: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent to ensure they have the necessary educational background for advanced learning.

Class Schedule

  • Morning Classes: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

  • Night Classes: Monday through Wednesday, 5 PM to 9 PM

Duration

  • Program Length: 6 months to 1 year

  • Total Clock Hours: 750

  • Credits: 21

Curriculum Focus​

  • Esthetic Skin Care: Gain expertise in caring for and enhancing skin health.

  • Facials and Massage Manipulations: Learn various techniques and procedures to improve skin appearance and relaxation.

  • Anatomy and Physiology: Understand the crucial role of anatomy and physiology in promoting health and effective skin care practices.

  • Tools and Sanitation: Master the proper use of implements, supplies, and materials while emphasizing sanitation and infection control to minimize disease risks.

Licensing and Certification

Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the TDLR examination for licensure. Passing this exam provides the necessary certification for immediate employment or self-employed opportunities in the esthetic field.​​​

Tuition and Fees​

  • Weekly Payment Plans: Available to assist students in managing tuition costs​

  • Tuition- $6,875.00

Note: Testing payment for the license is not included in the tuition and must be paid two weeks before program completion.

Academic Standards

  • Grade Requirement: Students are required to achieve a minimum grade of 70% or higher in all program courses to qualify for the certificate of completion.

Completion Requirements

All students are required to complete the full 750 hours and achieve all 21 credits to graduate from the Esthiology successfully. This comprehensive approach ensures students are thoroughly prepared for both the TDLR Examination and a professional career in esthetics.
